Fundraising Appeal - Support St Bede’s Hall

We are asking for your help with our 2010 Fundraising Appeal, for which we have decided to focus on the following three projects:-

·     to acquire more books for our new library. We have just received a donation of history books but have urgent need of additional books in all subjects 

·     to acquire more computers for students’ use

·     to provide further bursaries to enable students who would not otherwise have the means of doing so, to come to study in Oxford and benefit from our small-group tuition in a small and caring  Catholic environment

 You can help us now in any of the following ways:

·    by donating books for our library. These should be academic books related to the study of Classics, English, History, History of Art, Philosophy, Politics, or Theology. If you have published yourself, you might like to donate one of your own books, with an inscription bearing your name and the date 

·    by buying a book or books for the library from our reading lists for the same subjects; details of these are available on application. Any such books will carry an inscription with your name and the date

·     by donating a computer for the library, new or used but in good working order

·    by making a single gift or regular financial gifts towards the provision of library books or  computers

·     by sponsoring a student, thereby providing a bursary which will enable him/her to come to study  at St Bede’s for a term or year

·     by making any other donation which could be used towards any of  the above

   In return, as a friend and supporter of St Bede’s, you can be assured that you will:

·    receive written confirmation that your donation has been used for its intended purpose

·    in the event of providing a bursary for a specific student, you will, without being informed of the identity of the student, receive regular updates on the progress and achievements of the student concerned throughout the duration of the donation

·    receive appropriate acknowledgement of,  and recognition for, your  donation, in accordance with your views and wishes

     ·      receive invitations to Sr Bede’s events and reception

·    be entitled to receive truthful and straightforward answers to any questions you might raise about your donation
